Pallewela Ella is a considerably high waterfall hidden in the jungles in the Karandagolla area on Ella-Wellawaya road. This waterfall also known as Alikoti Ella, had been made popular recently due to the hotels in this area which had made this fall one of the publishised attractions.
The water drops in about 5 segments over the rock face. The waterfall lies in middle of the forest on the Ella – Wellawaya road. There are number of hotels in this area which use this waterfall for abseiling.
To reach the waterfall you need to travel 4.2 kms from the famous Ella waterfall towards Wellawaya on the Ella-Wellawaya road. There is an unmarked concrete narrow road on the left which leads to the waterfall. The last stretch of the path is through a forest.
