Narampanawa Ambalama – පැරණි නාරම්පනාව අම්බලම
Narampanawa is a small town in Kandy just above Theldeniya on the banks of Hulu Ganga. The Narampanawa Ambalama lies underneath a temple tree on the edge of a picturesque paddy field along the road from Oruthota.
The building is a square brick and mortar structure with a short but wide wall connecting the pillars which also serves as a bench. The roof is covered with corrugated tin roofing sheets which is probably a later renovation carried out without consideration to its antiquity.
To reach this Ambalama, travel to Oruthota through Kundasale and take the Narampanawa road which lies just before the bridge over Huluganga.
