Diyan Ella Fall is one of several falls located in the Walawe Valley, Ratnapura District. The double-streamed fall (20m in height) flows through jungle, from Ravana Mountain to the Walawe River. Its source is the western slope of the 1806m-high Meriyakotte Reserve from where it flows to the valley. At a height of about 900m there is an abrupt drop that creates the fall.
Diyan Ella Falls is 25km from Balangoda. There is a difficult road running from Fairlowen to Meriyakotte (Meeriacotte) through 3km of jungle. The fall is situated at the end of this road. An alternative route runs from Balangoda Charaka Mountain via Ravana Mountain to the fall. A four-wheel drive vehicle is recommended.
