
Lenabatuwa Ambalama is a brick and mortar wayside rest in front of the Lenabatuwa Wewa also known as Wilpita Wewa. The Ambalama is rectangular in shape and three sides other than the front is fully covered. two small windows have been made on the two sides for ventilation.
The ambalama lies between Akuressa and Kamburupitiya, 10 km away from the Akuressa Junction. The tank is located in a picturesque setting and it is part of the Oliyagankele Forest Reserve ecosystem. This reserve is also known as Wilpita Forest.
