These ruins can be seen in the Oddusuddan Divisional Secretariat, near the Mutiyankattuwa Wewa Reservoir (TamilMuthuiyankaddu Kulam), connected to a rocky plateau. At the southern end of the plateau, there are remnants of a structure, with ancient bricks scattered on and around it. Near the road, on the left side, there are parts of stone pillars and a partially buried moonstone with its top portion visible. Below this rock, running east to west for about 50 meters is a stone embankment.

About 15 meters to the east of the building, there is a stupa mound about 10 meters in diameter. At its southern end are two stone balustrades and a broken slab of stone with carved beadings on the mound. This stupa has been dug through the mound and destroyed by treasure hunters.

Nearby, there is another elevated building ruin with an entrance to the east. The entrance is adorned with a pair of simply carved stone balustrades, with a door frame slab lying on the right side. In the centre of the building are two broken pieces of a large stone slab. Treasure hunters have recently attempted to break this slab further, leaving it extensively damaged. The slab is 4.45 meters long, 2 meters wide, and 57 cm thick, decorated with carvings of vimana on both sides. In the surrounding area, there are remnants of other constructions and stone embankments. Based on archaeological evidence, this building is believed to be a padhanaghara (a type of ancient monastic meditation hall).

Surrounding this mound are indications of several other ancient buildings. Notably, three stone pillars, thought to be part of a stone entrance, are connected to the previously mentioned stone embankment. Facing east, these stone doorposts and fragments have recently been exposed due to unauthorized excavations. The area is scattered with ancient bricks and fragments, confirming that this site represents a significant religious complex from the Anuradhapura period.

This archaeological site is situated in the Muthiyankattukulam Grama Niladhari division, within the Muthiyankattukulam village, in the Oddusuddan Divisional Secretariat. From the Oddusuddan junction, travel about 200 meters on the Pudukuduirippu road, then turn left onto the Muthiyankattukulam road and travel approximately 3 kilometres. The ruins are found on the left side of the road, near the Muthiyankattu Wewa Reservoir.

The location of these ruins is marked on the Google map below, based on the GIS data from the Department of Archaeology.
